Geartrade needed a more mobile-friendly version of their platform. We built and tested multiple wireframes and prototypes to validate designs that streamlined the seller experience and optimized the shopper experience.

Re-Skin and Revitalize

Geartrade needed to refresh their site in order to compete with the modern e-commerce sites of today. We applied common features, contemporary patterns and current brand elements to improve usability to boost relevancy and build trust with customers.

Developing New Features

We spent about 3-4 months in the Discovery & Design phase in order to develop new feature requests. Wireframed prototypes were key in designing the workflow for the most complex portions and elevating the user experience. The goal was to create clean forms and clear actions in order to keep users happily engaged with the site.

Development

Modernize the System

Due to specific priorities and a tight timeline, we were limited on how much of the old code base to update with a refactor. We built in Elastic Search and some newer React framework to improve performance. This provided a foundation for their team to implement higher performing options on their own in the future.
